K-5 students attend Media classes on a weekly fixed schedule. Additionally, students are encouraged to visit the library during our daily Open Circulation time (8:45 - 9:20) with a pass from a classroom teacher. Parents and caregivers are welcome to visit the library and check out books, too!
Hope to see YOU at the library soon.

Circulation Policy
How many books may I borrow?
All students are encouraged to develop personal reading interests. To support both educational and personal reading interests, students are permitted to borrow 5 books at a time.
When do my books need to be returned to the library?
All books are due 1 week from the date of check out. Students who wish to keep an item longer will need to bring the book(s) back to the library to be renewed. Students who have overdue books are not allowed to check out additional materials until overdue items are returned or renewed.
What do I need to do if my book is lost or damaged?
We do not charge overdue fees. However, we do ask that any lost or damaged materials be paid for. Students with lost or damaged materials will not be able to borrow additional items until their fines are paid in full.

Book Care Tips
- Carry books home in a book bag. This helps to protect books from the weather and accidental drops. For an added layer of protection inside your book bag, place your books inside a plastic grocery bag. This will help protect your books from leaky water bottles and lunch spills.
- Be sure to protect your library books from pets and younger siblings by finding a safe spot at home for your library books when you are not reading them. Your book bag is an excellent spot! It will help keep your books safe and secure. In addition, you will be ready for library class.
- Use a bookmark to mark your spot in a book. Please don't "dog ear" the pages in your library book.
- Return damaged books to Mrs. McCloud in the library ASAP. There are special materials we use in the library to repair books with.
We Love Donations!
We welcome donations of new or gently used books. Not sure what titles we need? No problem. Gift cards to purchase books with are greatly appreciated. A name plate will be placed in each title to acknowledge our donors and show our gratitude.
